Año Nuevo Chino con estilo

El 08 de febrero de 2016  es el “Año Nuevo” Chino. Es la celebración más importante de las fiestas tradicionales chinas y también se conoce como Festival de Primavera.  Es un período lleno de celebraciones y preparativos, que se inicia el Día de Año Nuevo -este año del MONO- y termina con la Fiesta de las Linternas, el decimoquinto día del primer mes. This February 08th,  2016 is the Chinese "New Year".  It is the most important celebration of the traditional Chinese holidays also known as Spring Festival. It is a period full of celebrations and preparations, that begins with New Year's Day- this year´s the year of the MONKEY- and ends with the Lantern Festival, the fifteenth day of the first month. Here are a few ideas to celebrate in style.

Como es un evento especial, invites por teléfono, ni envíes mensajes de texto o whatsapp a tus invitados. ¡Mejor envíales una invitación!

Since it´s a special event, don´t  call,  text or whatspp your guests.  Send them invitations!

Has tus propias farolas para decorar la casa. Puedes usar las luces del árbol de navidad y adornarlas con cubos de origami o farolillos.

Make your own lanterns to decorate the house. You can use the Christmas tree lights and decorate them with origami paper cubes o lanterns.

Recibe a tus  invitados con un Happy Dragon, un cocktail que da suerte! O cualquier otro de tu preferencia, no olvides decorarlo para la ocasión.

Indica a tus invitados donde deben sentarse. Estos son dos ejemplos de cómo hacerlo. Puedes escribirlas a mano alzada o buscar una tipo de fuente que se asemeje a las letras chinas.

Indicate your guests where they should sit. These are two examples of how you can do it. You can  either use freehand or find a font that resembles Chinese characters.

Presenta tu menú estilo asiático. En pequeños platos o bowls y consigue palitos chinos para la comida. Son un poco difíciles de utilizar pero con un poco se práctica todos los conseguirán. Además,¡seguro dará de qué hablar!

 Serve your menu Asian style. In small plates or bowls and be sure to get chopsticks. They are a bit difficult to use but with a little practice you´ll master it.

Reparte a tus invitados sobres rojos con letras chinas de suerte o buena fortuna en color dorado hechos por ti. ¡Deben tener monedas o dulces adentro para activar la prosperidad!

 Give your guests red envelopes with the Chinese letters of luck or good fortune in gold made by you. They should have coins or candy in to activate prosperity!
