Estamos a escasos días de mi noche favorita del año! Y estoy en plenos preparativos de decoraciones de casa, disfraces y hasta comida alegórica. Ya tienes el look de tus uñas para este Halloween??  Si eres de las que no le gusta disfrazarse, para entrar en ambiente te propongo pintarte las uñas con motivos alusivos a esta fiesta y estoy segura que serán todo hit. fondo de armario: must haves

Debo confesar que la primera vez que oí el termino Fondo de Armario me quedé en blanco. Hoy, unos años más tarde, finalmente lo tengo claro. El Fondo de Armario lo constituyen el conjunto de prendas básicas y versátiles, que más favorezcan nuestro estilo y que sobreviven a las tendencias. Hay quienes piensan que no existe un fondo de armario único sino más bien un conjunto de prendas de vestir que nos sientan bien y que reflejan nuestro estilo. Ojo, subrayo lo de la tendencia. Es muy importante no caer el ellas a la hora de configurar el nuestro. No todas las modas nos quedan bien según nuestro tipo de cuerpo, ni todas nos gustan... Aun y así, estos son los musts haves de un buen fondo de armario.

I must confess that the first time I heard the term fondo de armario (wardrobe) my mind went blank. Today, years later, I´m finally clear. A wardrobe consists of a group of basic and versatile garments, that flatter our style and that survive trends. Some people think that there is no preset wardrobe but rather a set of cloths that make us feel good and reflect our style. BTW, I underline trend because it is very important not to fall in them when it putting together. Not all fads are becoming for our body type or are of our linking... Nonetheless, these are the must haves of a good wardrobe.

No tienen idea como aaaaamoooo esta cake! Aprovechando que Fonse está aquí la preparamos y que banquete me di!

La hicimos para cantarle cumple al cuñis Paco y para celebrar a los San Franciscos de la family jejeje. El tema del nombre de la cake en cuestión se los explico mas abajo; cortesía de varios blogs en los que investigue. Así, ademas de la receta de la torta zulú, aprendemos de dónde proviene el nombre de tan delicioso manjar.

We made it for my brother in law´s (Paco) birthday and to celebrate the San Francisco´s of the family lol. Below you´ll find the explanation of where the cake´s name comes from; courtesy of several blogs where I investigated. So, apart from the Zulu cake recipe, we can learn where the name of such a delicacy comes from. 

Se llama Zulú debido a la fécula que se utilizaba originalmente en su preparación. Su  nombre científico es MARANTA ARUNDINACEA L., conocida como Zulú, Sulú, Sagú o Arrowroot. Lo estupendo de esta deliciosa torta (tarta) es que es perfecta para quienes son celiacos.  Hoy en día se hace con fécula de patata, me costó un montón conseguirla (aquí en Murcia), vine cargando con ella desde Paris.... Por eso lo del banquete jejeje. Los bocados de esta torta arenosa se disuelven en la boca y son del mas allá!

It's called Zulu because of the starch that was originally used in its preparation. Its scientific name is MARANTA ARUNDINACEA L., known as zulu, sulu, sagú or arrowroot. The great thing about this delicious cake is that it is perfect for celiacs. Nowadays it is made with potatoe flour  and it was quite an ordeal find it (her in Murcia)... I found the one we used in Paris .... hence why I call it a delicacy lol. This sand like cake melts in you mouth and takes you to heaven!
